The compensation of certain top officers at Cynosure, Inc. increased significantly over the past years. The total compensation of the President and CEO of Cynosure, Inc. rose from over $900,000 in 2009 to $1.85million in 2011 and the CFO’s pay increased from over $580,000 in 2009 to $1.1million in 2011.

However the compensation of certain officers in 2011 is higher than 2008 even though the company’s financial performance in 2008 was significantly higher than in 2011. In fact, the CEO’s compensation in 2008 was at $1.54million and in 2011 at $1.85million and the CFO’s pay was in 2008 at more than $750,000 and in 2011 at $1.1million.

NASDAQ:CYNO traded in early April at slightly below $17 per share, less than half the value in 2007.

Shares of Cynosure, Inc. (NASDAQ:CYNO) closed on April 5, 2012 at $17.82 per share.
