During the three-day HR & EEO in the Federal Workplace Conference, more than 30 sessions provided guidance on everything from handling medical information in the post-ADAAA/GINA workplace to learning how to successfully find, train and retain next-generation employees.
“This year we offered five program tracks covering Equal Employment Opportunity, Employee Relations/Human Resources, HR Technology, Leadership and Management Training,” said Daniel Gephart, Program Chair. “Attendees were also provided a variety of opportunities to meet OPM training requirements and receive CEUs and CLE credits.”
Presenters at the various sessions were senior representatives of various agencies including the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, Coast Guard and Department of Labor.
Between sessions, attendees explored the two-day Expo. Vendors and organizations showcased products and services offering solutions to every challenge that federal employees face. This year’s Expo featured 28 exhibitors including cyberFEDS®, Manager Advantage, DOD Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP), and TMP Government. Also a major highlight of this year’s program was the unveiling of the new name, logo and location of the 2013 conference.
“For 2013, we'll be moving the program beyond the core EEO, employee relations, HR, HR technology, management and leadership sessions that molded the 2012 program,” said Gephart. “We'll be introducing two all new session tracks: One dedicated to federal labor relations and the other to those who handle the workers' compensation of federal employees.”
The HR & EEO in the Federal Workplace Conference & Expo will now be known as the Federal Workplace Conference & Expo. The expanded show will be held April 2 - 4, 2013 at the Gaylord National, National Harbor, Maryland.
HR & EEO in the Federal Workplace Conference was produced by LRP Publications in partnership with Federal Employment Law Training Group (FELTG) and sponsored by The Federal Long Term Care Insurance ProgramTM.
