Couture Label Pavoni Pre-launches The New F/W 2012 Collection At Trunk Shows In Luxury Retailers

April 24, 2012 - PRLog -- No strangers to late nights and early mornings, Mike Derderian and Gianni Falcone the design duo behind new Canadian luxury line PAVONI, have been hitting up luxury retailers in major cities across Europe and North America this past month launching their Fall/Winter 2012 collection to new and existing fans. Aside from having a strong Celebrity following, the main reason the pair have done so well introducing the unique line globally, is their deep understanding of the reformed fashion market and how quickly it moves. “Trunk shows have been great for us as a way to connect with our consumer and retailers on a more intimate and exclusive level, says Derderian. “And of course it has been a great way to have retailers pick up the line if they have yet not, because they get to see how amazingly detailed the collections are in person get the opportunity to see first-hand the positive reactions from their distinguished clientele”

Amazingly detailed may be an understatement. Derderian has had plenty of couturier experience he obtained while previously working for a top international gown designer- and it shows. Certain gowns can take up to 3000 combined hours to create from start to finish as everything in the collection is custom, from fabric colour choices, to the beads and crystals, all art work is original and unique. Falcone notes that the workmanship comes through in each garment and once a retailer sees and touches one, a purchase order is always quick to follow.

The recent North American runway debut during last season’s Toronto Fashion Week had left the public in awe over the sheer elegance and beauty of the gowns that appeared to float their way down the runway. The show definitely encouraged luxury retailers to take notice, and the following day Holt Renfrew snapped up the PAVON collection after requesting a private viewing. The line will be carried and sold this upcoming fall season in Holt Renfrew downtown Toronto, and Holt Renfrew Montreal.

Having just left the Ukraine, and currently in New York City, the latest collection will be on display for sale this May the 2nd in Holt Renfrew Toronto’s Bloor St. location, and on May the 3rd in Holt Renfrew Montreal. The trunk show will allow many of the city’s VIP’s to pre purchase from the collection and even get the chance to chat with the always on-the-go designer duo.

Living between LA and Montreal and constantly back and forth from Europe to Asia, the PAVONI boys are quick to mention that home is definitely in Montreal, but fashion is global, and wherever there is a client or demand, they will be there.
