Lancaster businesses aid relief efforts with cook-out

Access Self Storage and Bienvenidos provide food, entertainment for those affected by tornadoes

April 24, 2012 - PRLog -- As tornadoes wreaked havoc across the midwest earlier this month, businesses in Lancaster banded together to provide relief for their struggling neighbors. On April 7th, Access Self Storage hosted a cook-out for the victims of tornadoes in the area and the many people helping clean-up and repair efforts. From 9:00 in the morning to 6:00 at night, those who had lost their homes and those offering aid were welcomed at Access' Lancaster location.

Bienvenidos Restaurant and Cantina Owner Vivian Chastain provided breakfast burritos for the masses in the morning and Access grilled up hot dogs all afternoon. Children let their worries go in the inflatable obstacle course while their parents took some time for much-needed relaxation.

"In a situation like this, you help out where you can," says Principal Doug Hunt of Access Self Storage, "and where we can help is a hot meal and storage."

Access Self Storage is also offering rental discounts for those affected by the tornadoes.

The cook-out was manned by employees from Access and volunteers from First Baptist Church-Dallas.

Inquiries should be directed to Doug Hunt at 214-742-9499 or doug@ownersmanagementco.com.
