Confreda Greenhouses & Farms Welcomes All to Our 90th Anniversary Farmers Market Grand Opening

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 23, 2012 - Hope (Western Cranston), RI – Confreda Greenhouses & Farms is excited to announce our 90th Anniversary Farmers Market Grand Opening on Saturday, May 5th at 9 a.m. in Hope (Western Cranston), Rhode Island.  Come one, come all to experience a weekend full of free samples, door prizes, fresh produce, and new menu items!

Confreda is especially excited to announce our partnership with Barcaro Providence.  Bacaro supports Rhode Island farmers by using local, fresh produce in their restaurant, and now they will also be providing Confreda with delicious options using produce directly from Confreda’s “backyard”-- over 400 acres of farmland in Cranston and Warwick.  Bacaro’s pastry chef, Wendy Vietro, will be baking chocolate and butter croissants, cinnamon rolls, cakes, muffins, and more fresh every day.  Our newly renovated cafe will also be serving up delicious lunch entrees from Bacaro’s menu including artisanal salads with homemade vinaigrette, gourmet soups, grilled sandwiches on our new panini press, and delicacies like specialty meats, cheeses, and olives.  Guests will also be tempted to stay for dessert when they see our mouthwatering gelato and freshly-baked pastries.

Confreda Greenhouses & Farms has proudly been serving the community for 90 years with high-quality local produce and horticultural plants.  As the largest grower of vegetables in Rhode Island, Confreda’s mission is clear: “We are proud of our longstanding history as a family farm.
