“The demand for Red Cross services in our area is at its peak as we have already assisted over 200 families with residential fires this year,” says Savannah Red Cross CEO Robin Wingate. “When disasters like home fires strike, the Savannah Red Cross responds 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help families with their most pressing needs.” The Savannah Chapter of the American Red Cross has been answering the plea for assistance for 95 years and supports a regional area of 23 counties and more than eight hundred thousand people. Services provided by your local Red Cross in the past year include emergency messages and financial aid for local military families, caring for local disaster victims, local disaster preparedness education, CPR, First Aid and lifesaving training, and blood donation services.
The American Red Cross is not a government agency and its preparedness requires our generosity and support. Come relax and enjoy a wonderful evening at the Gourmet Soirée and be a part of turning heartbreak into hope for individuals who have been assisted by the local Red Cross and those who are yet to find themselves in need.
