PRLog - April 23, 2012 - KINNELON, N.J. -- Our 2012 version of the BRAKE the HUNGER CYCLE TOUR is less than a dozen days away. We are preparing for another exciting event with lots of extras. As usual, all of our profits are given to support hunger issues both here in New Jersey and globally. In four years time we have become one of the largest charity bike events of northern NJ. And, our events have resulted in:
• 150,000 meals have been served in New Jersey
• 50,000 people live with clean water today thanks to our riders and sponsors
We look forward to a record crowd and encourage you to register very soon. Our early-bird registration fee will only last another six days and Tee-shirts are only available for the first two hundred folks who register (we're more than halfway there).
Our website is the best portal for registration. Please register today...
Hoping to see you there.
Each year the profits from our event will be directed to a different initiative that ultimately deals with the hungry, the poor, the impoverished. All this is geared toward a global initiative of over 200 countries established at the September 2000 United Nations Millennium Summit, with a goal of reducing extreme poverty in half by the year 2015. World leaders agreed to set time bound and measurable goals and targets for combating poverty, hunger, disease, literacy, environmental degradation and discrimination against women. They are now known as the Millennium Development Goals.
