Green Clean Institute offers Free Janitorial Course

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 23, 2012 - For decades, the janitorial business has been a "task-oriented" effort.  It was simply a job to be done, and anyone with a mop and bucket could fill the need.  A task-oriented job took very little talent except the ability to show up and work.  Suddenly, workers everywhere are thinking about their quality of life and how a lifetime of exposure to chemicals can invite disease and drastically shorten life.

Several years ago, we all discovered that first-hand and second-hand smoke was a serious health issue.  Now, the public is increasingly aware that we live and work in a very toxic environment.  Cleaning services are responsible for hundreds of pound of cleaning products brought into the building each year.  

The janitorial service is moving from a "task-oriented" program to a "service-oriented" model where the staff and worker need to know more than how to buff a floor or clean a mirror.  A service brings a knowledge of how to do the work in the proper manner as well as get the job done.

The Green Clean Institute is offering a free online course called "How to Sell Green" that will help any cleaning service realize that a cleaning service can compete with ideas instead of cut-rate fees.  It comes down to the "Quality of Life" issue that has as much concern as the second-hand smoke issue of twenty years ago.

Green Clean Institute has been assisting janitorial workers and companies with a credible Green certification process.  In 2012, the new eLearning system was introduced allowing companies to train staff and workers without the need to travel.  To encourage greater knowledge and address the needs of a Green market demand, Green Clean Institute invites cleaning and janitorial services to take the free online training course, "How to Sell Green" as a way to further Green cleaning services.
