April 23, 2012 - PRLog -- The "Nooner" concert series has been a staple at CSUS for years. Every Wednesday at 12 noon (or lunch time) musicians perform outdoors at the University Union Sernia Plaza for students and local fans.  Held by Zenia and Unique Programs this past Wednesday April,18 was The Timothy Rhyme Concert which consisted of Timothy Rhyme, A.M.I.T.S, Nay The Producer, Jeff K and Vince Vacari.  All performing with a different sound allowed them to be able to capture the attention of about 100 students by appealing to all genres of music.  Delivering such variations of music such as Pop, Rock, R&B, Spoken Word and Hip-Hop all into one show is what truly made this event amazing.

For those that are not familiar Timothy Rhyme is a Hip Hop artist/entrepreneur born and raised in Sacramento,CA but currently resides in Los Angeles,CA. Co-Founder/Artist for Independent Record Label First Dirt Timothy Rhyme has worked with artist such as Living Legend member Luckyiam, XXL Magazine Freshman Blu, Chaundon, Megatryfe and many more.  The Timothy Rhyme Concert was designed to shine some light on artist on Timothy’s Label and also make fans aware of all the big moves he will be making in the upcoming months. Timothy will be releasing his first project under the alias Timothy Rhyme with East Coast Producer Phil The Pain titled "Vintage" and will also be going on his first nationwide tour this summer.

Opening the show was Vince Vacari(a Sacramento native and CSUS graduate) which delivered with some high vocals and smooth melodies.  Next was Nay The Producer (a female artist/producer on Timothy Rhymes First Dirt Label based out of San Francisco)  who hit the stage with an amazing voice and very deep soulful music. Nay also brought out her piano and began playing with her guitarist and singer Jeff K. showing her versatility and getting the crowds attention.  Next was Hip Hop artist A.M.I.T.S. (which is also on Timothy’s Label based out of Ontario,CA)  which delivered a revolutionary accapella and some heavy hitting punch lines.  Headlining the show was Timothy Rhyme who delivered 20 minutes of raw material and had the crowd nodding their head all the way to class. After the show all the artist went to their booth and began giving out flyers, posters, stickers, shirts, cds, vitamin water, and signed autographs for all the students and volunteers in attendance.  All in all it was an amazing show and every single one of these artist left with new fans.

During the show part of Timothy Rhyme and A.M.I.T.S. sets consisted of the crowd chanting "First Dirt for Paid Dues".  The artist then explained and announced that they will be campaigning for a whole year till next years Paid Dues Festival 2013 in Southern California.  Paid Dues is organized by Murs and Guerilla Union and has had such headliners as Immortal Technique, Ice Cube, Mac Miller, Wu Tang and many more.  Every year artist from all over campaign to get added to an opening slot on this event but very few get selected. This year Inland Empire artist Curtiss King campaigned for 97 days and was added to the lineup.  In an interview after the show Timothy Rhyme and A.M.I.T.S  both confirmed that First Dirt will indeed be campaigning for Paid Dues this year.
