Geneva, Ill. — GreenFields of Geneva will soon celebrate the completion of all phases of construction and ongoing residential move-ins with grand opening festivities. The senior living community will begin with a celebration on Monday, May 7, for the 65 residents who have moved to GreenFields since it officially opened in January. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for community leaders and invited guests will take place at the community on Tuesday, May 8, at 10 a.m., followed by community tours.
“Our residents have had a few months to settle in to their new homes and become acquainted with their neighbors and GreenFields’
vibrant lifestyle,” said Stephen Yenchek, President and CEO of Friendship Senior Options, sponsor of GreenFields. “Now it’s time to celebrate our residents and everyone who had a hand in bringing this community to Geneva.”
The community, located at 0N801 Friendship Way in Geneva, features 147 maintenance-
free, independent living apartment homes with an array of amenities, including restaurant-style dining, a fitness center, access to 17 miles of walking trails, creative arts studio, club room and underground parking. As a Life Care community, GreenFields provides residents priority access to 51 on-site assisted living apartments, 26 memory support apartments and 43 private skilled nursing suites to provide support through innovative services and programming, if ever needed.
GreenFields is sponsored by Friendship Senior Options, a locally managed, not-for-profit organization that began in 1977 with Friendship Village of Schaumburg. As a mission-driven organization, Friendship Senior Options actively seeks new ways to provide older adults with quality retirement solutions by offering services, personalized care and commitment to putting people first.
