"Everyone gets stuck at one point or another. This happens quite often to business owners who have been running their businesses for 10, 20 or more years. They are not prepared for the eventual business transition to new management or ownership." states Joel Goobich. "This is a difficult situation because so much of their personal wealth is stuck in the business. There is tremendous risk and a lot at stack for a business owner who has toiled for years to grow his company." he continues.
The seminar was well attended with both entrepreneurs, current business owners and professionals at different stages of their business or career life cycles. The attendees learned the reasons why and how people get stuck and some simple tools for beginning the process of moving forward with renewed energy and passion. The seminar highlighted the different exit strategies available to business owners, including management buyouts, ESOPS and other exit planning techniques.
"We offered to work with the public library system as part of the ongoing adult education series because we are passionate about helping people reap the benefits of their investment of time, capital and initiative in building business worth. There is just too little emphasis placed on learning the techniques to "exit strong" from a business or career."
The next seminar in this series will be held in three weeks, on Wednesday May 16th The subject matter is "5 Garden Tools for Business Growth". Information on this seminar is available at www.bigpictureadvisors.com
