First Ever Monterey Street Food Fest to be Held on Saturday May 12th at the Monterey County Fairgrounds

April 17, 2012. Monterey, CA.   Don’t miss the first ever Monterey Street Food Fest on Saturday, May 12th from Noon to 6:00 PM at the Monterey County Fairgrounds, 2004 Fairground Road, Monterey, CA 93940 (831) 372-5863. Free admission and parking for this event. This fun event will feature a wide array of gourmet and international street food (aka “food trucks “that now feature delicious food!), plus live music. From Noon to 2:00 p.m., the Money Band will perform, followed by Jake Nelson’s Triple Threat band from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  At the event, attendees can purchase a wide array of gourmet and international food plus enter a free raffle drawing to win an iPod and have the opportunity to vote for their favorite vendor!

The Monterey County Fairgrounds is a premiere event center set on 22 oak-studded acres with ample parking. It is a state-owned multi-use facility that features 4 large banquet rooms, 3 smaller meeting rooms, 2 outdoor concert venues, and a variety of outdoor and indoor cost-effective sites ideal for all types of events. It is home of the annual award-winning Monterey County Fair, host to many major and private events on the Central Coast, and the site of the Monterey Bay Race Place, a Satellite Wagering Facility.  The Monterey County Fair is the 7th District Agricultural Association of the State of California and was recently featured on California’s Golden Fairs with Huell Howser that aired nationally on PBS Television.
