The Franklin Shops on First Street Celebrate First Birthday

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 20, 2012 - Join The Franklin Shops on First Street in the Downtown River District as they celebrate their first year in business on April 26th from 10am – 6pm. The Franklin Shops are a cooperative business, unique to Downtown Fort Myers, and consists of over 100 creative shop vendors.

The Franklin Shops will be celebrating their shop vendors and thanking the community for making their first year successful by benefiting Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida Inc.

Come party with The Franklin Shops as they toast to their first year with champagne, and enjoy delicious food donated by Costco Wholesale. Test your skills in a scavenger hunt where first place wins a $100.00 gift certificate to The Franklin Shops, and try your luck as they raffle off 20+ fabulous merchandise items donated by The Franklin Shop vendors! Raffle and games will be taking place 10:00am-5:30pm. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres will be served 4:00pm-6:00pm.

Raffle proceeds will benefit Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. Goodwill helps people with disabilities and other disadvantages overcome their barriers to employment and independence. Supported programs include Job-Link employment resource centers, the Four Wheels For Work vehicle assistance program, L.I.F.E. Academy, and the Southwest Florida MicroEnterprise program.
