Minneapolis, Minn., March 27, 2012 – More than 500 flesh-hungry “zombies” will invade Lake Calhoun in search of their next human meal on May 6 for a 5K fun run to benefit a Minneapolis-
The inaugural ‘Survive Twin Cities: A Zombie Fun Run’ will start at 8 a.m. and go along the Midtown Greenway, ending at Lake Calhoun. This 5K fun run will be an adventure for both runners and spectators of all ages, so make sure to come!

Race begins at 8 a.m. at the Midtown Greenway starting near Hiawatha, and will end near Lake Calhoun. Pre-registration entry fee is $25 (ages 16+) and $10 (under 16), $30 and $15 for same day registration. Unlike some other zombie related adventure runs, participants may register either as survivors or as zombies. The survivor group receives a 90 second head start before the zombie horde takes off in search of brains. Walkers are welcome to register as zombies and shamble along in costume. OUR CAUSE
Cūra Earth is a non-profit program based in Minneapolis with linked programs in Nicaragua. We combine science, social action and creativity to achieve sustainable health of people, animals and ecosystems. We work to help find solutions conservation and public health problems and address the roots of poverty in Nicaragua. The main focus is on endangered habitats and species as well as disenfranchised human populations.
