During their keynote session Chief Medical Officer (Ivana Steigman, MD, PhD) and Chief Strategy Officer (Dr. Walter Greenleaf, PhD) will share how immersive and virtual technology (VT) is being applied to a variety of clinical and therapeutic settings. They will detail Thrive’s work with substance abuse clinics, schools and the military. Along with co-presenters Camala Boyce, PhD and Ron Rembisz, PhD, they will highlight the historical roots of using VT along with other present day applications and technological innovations for the future. Research findings in clinical work with respect to PTSD, phobias and other settings will be shared. Participants will also observe video-taped re-creations of clinical and corporate applications and receive practical advice for applying the concepts in their practice.
