Shyan Selah and The Republic of Sound bring their fusion of Rock and Soul Music to Kent

April 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Every Saturday night is live music at the new and improved, Benchwarmer Sports Bar and Grill (24437 Russell Road Kent, WA 98032), now nicknamed The New Benchwarmer from area regulars who frequent the family-friendly venue with its newly painted walls, carpeting, raised seating and state of the art 12 foot projector screen.

As a special treat to the people of Kent, every Saturday night entertainment firm, BNW Global presents a roster of live music from local musicians before closing the night out with international recording artist Shyan Selah and his band, The Republic of Sound. The band’s performances at The Benchwarmer are part of a series of live appearances at venues throughout the Puget Sound region before Selah releases his new album later this year.

“I just love to play!,” said Selah. “The live experience really starts and ends with the passion of the venue and the venues we’re including in our Northwest performances are PRO LIVE. It breeds a vibe that’s great for live bands and most importantly, the people in our communities that thirst for good music.”

True to form, Selah, who’s made it a mission to give back to other artists in the Northwest, and BNW have made the Benchwarmer stage available for local talent to open up the night, each week showcasing different bands, musicians and vocalists. Past acts have included Fresh Paint, Stealing Carolina, and Northern Shakedown. Lance Azucena, Director of Promotions for BNW, says the company continues to welcome both new and established artists looking for quality venues to play in to come check the place out.
