The family-focused health and beauty magazine will carry a special feature highlighting the Top 50 moments from the publication's illustrious history.
Candis was formed as the Cancer and Polio Research Fund (CPRF) in 1962 by Joseph K Douglas and had 24,000 members entering a weekly football pool organised by Pembroke Publications, the predecessor to the incumbent Newhall Publications. A fortnightly newsletter went into publication nine years later to report the work of CPRF and continue to help raise important funds.
The newsletter had grown into a 28-page publication by 1985 and a year later a competition was organised to choose its new name. Candis was born and by the late 1990s the new-look, 124-page full-colour publication had established itself as a leading family magazine.
Over the course of the 50 years, Candis has helped raise more than £54million for the charities it has supported.
