Propelling Australian Innovators into Global Manufacturing through the Innovativity Program

A unique four day program developed by the Advanced Manufacturing CRC (AMCRC) to help Australian manufacturing companies develop, protect and commercialise intellectual property is being held in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

April 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Aimed at those involved in the design and development of products, processes and technology within manufacturing organisations, this program removes the guesswork from innovation processes and illustrates how to innovate more effectively.

Facilitated by leading world-class experts with decades of experience in innovation and a wealth of success stories from Silicon Valley start-ups to global multi-nationals like BOSE and BHP Billiton, the Innovativity program is designed to ensure businesses get the most out of innovative practices in their business.

Innovativity will cover a range of topics including; Innovation pre-assessments, the Innovation imperative, pre-empting the market, maximising intangible assets, go to market R&D, business planning and strategy, resourcing, maximising innovation value and sustainability and innovation post-assessment business reviews.

QMI Solutions CEO Jim Walker said innovation is proving to be the key competitive advantage for manufacturers.

“As Australia moves into a high-cost competitive global environment, it has become even more important to adopt innovative practices across the business. Typically this might be through the development and commercialisation of new products, but the best part of the Innovativity program is that it targets innovation in the areas that deliver the most benefit,” he said.

“This world leading course will give you the tools you need to maximise innovation in your organisation, in a targeted way that will help with attaining commercial success. This course is applicable to any business in any maturity.”  said previous attendee Adrian Morphett of Earth Systems.

On completion of Innovativity, attendees are encouraged to utilise the ongoing 24/7 online support to complement the learnings of the program.

The four day program is $1,500.00 per person which includes all workshop materials and catering. For more information please visit http://www.ausicom.com/events or call (07) 3364 0614 or e-mail education@ausicom.com.
