PRLog - April 19, 2012 - Being transgender is often difficult. It is normally begins as a secretive lifestyle than people find hard to express and harder to acknowledge. This often leads to low self-esteem and self-worth, depression and anxiety, and effects on concentration – these can lead to relationship problems, work issues etc.
“The Transgender Effect On Careers Survey” by Transtastic.com aims to capture some key information about Transgender from people, regardless of where they are on the transgender spectrum.
The objective of the survey is to establish how being transgender effects your career opportunities, and to compare these to national averages.
We define transgender in this questionnaire as “anyone who has thoughts or feelings of wanting to become the opposite of their birth gender, and who may dress in clothes of the opposite gender”.
Examples of this, but not exclusively, are:
• a male who wears female clothes in private.
• a male who has had gender reassignment surgery and now lives full-time as a woman
• a female who dresses in male clothes but lives as a woman.
