The award was presented at a banquet at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Saturday, April 14th.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to accept this honor on behalf of CEA Global Education," said Jon Jorgenson, CEA's Senior Regional Consultant for the Midwest. "I've thoroughly enjoyed working with Sandra and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to connect students to the benefits of international education and experience."
CEA Global Education is committed to providing study abroad opportunities to help students connect international education and experience with life after college. Students may choose from a variety of study abroad environments, from major and core college courses taught in English and the host language to experiencing what it's like to live and learn on a foreign university campus.
"It is important that today's college students be prepared to live and work in a global mosaic of increasingly interwoven cultures, languages and challenges,"
Past recipients have ranged from a single person instrumental in establishing an effective partnership with the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and UW system, to University departments and international professors in the field of language acquisition, to established committees charged with bringing global concerns to the campus and community forefront, to, domestic and international providers that provide study abroad programming options as well as making UW-L a campus of choice.
