Department of the Interior Awards EMPSi Environmental Contract

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 18, 2012 - April 17, 2012 -- Environmental Management and Planning Solutions, Inc. (EMPSi) announced that it has been awarded a contract to provide environmental support to the US Fish and Wildlife Service and other Department of the Interior bureaus.  The contract, valued at up to $9M, will extend for up to five years.

Under the contract EMPSi will provide a variety of scientific services in support of seven areas: Scientific Peer Review, Endangered Species, Migratory Birds, Wildlife Refuges, Landscape Conservation Cooperatives, National Wetlands Inventory, and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).    

Specific tasks may include scientific peer review of information (documents, data, models, study plans, proposals, and other forms of scientific information); preparation of environmental compliance documents; field surveys; hypothesis testing field research studies; analysis of data; development and testing of scientific models; gathering and synthesis of information, literature, or cartography; preparation of reports; organization and conduct of public meetings; and other science-related activities.
