Follow on Google News | Justice and Corrections Expert Tapped as New Assistant Director – Program ServicesThe IJIS Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert L. May II as the Institute’s new Assistant Director – Program Services.
For 24 of his 36 years of criminal justice experience, Mr. May has worked at the national level. Since 1999, he has been a principal with the Criminal Justice Institute and associate director with the Association of State Correctional Administrators. In his role with the Association of State Correctional Administrators, Mr. May directed numerous Bureau of Justice Assistance projects, including: Correctional Response to Pandemic; Corrections Intelligence, Counter-Terrorism, Gangs and Violent Crime Information Sharing; Reentry Information Sharing Pilot Projects; and Justice Information Sharing in Support of Reentry. Mr. May managed the Association’ Previously, Mr. May served as a principal and director of Criminal Justice Projects at JBS International. The IJIS Institute’s Executive Director, Steve Ambrosini, says, “Bob is a long-time friend and associate of our organization. The IJIS Institute unites the private and public sectors to improve critical information sharing for those who protect and serve our communities.
