April 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Emile Pandolfi is a world-class pianist from Greenville who has sold almost 3 million copies of his albums all over the United States since he began his recording career in 1991.  As a pop pianist he is considered to be one of the finest pianists today, applying his classical techniques to Broadway and pop music alike.  His unique playing style has earned him the nickname 'The Man with the Flying Hands.'

"He can do anything. He's the master of the keyboard," says Virginia Uldrick, Emile’s high school music teacher and the founder of the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities.

Tragedy struck the Pandolfi family on Christmas morning of 2011, when a fire consumed their home, burning down to the ground with the family’s belongings inside.  While no one was hurt, Emile revealed that they “lost two wonderful dogs” in the fire.

Emile is well-loved in the Greenville, South Carolina community and that was clearly evidenced in the days and weeks following the fire.  Emile had nothing but sincere praise and thanks for the people who helped the family through the crisis including neighbors, friends, strangers,  firefighters and the Red Cross.

“This is a public thank you to all of you who helped us throughout the day. There are too many of you to thank personally. I don’t even know some of your names, so please, if you read this, pass our thanks along to those we may not have had a chance to thank personally,” Emile said in a statement through his Facebook page.  “We are rich, indeed, in the only and best way that one can be. We are surrounded, loved, and cared for by so many friends, old and new; and that is so much more than just an expression of gratitude. It is a fact,” he added.

In apt recognition of Emile's immense contributions to the community over the years, The Peace Center in Greenville, SC decided to sponsor a benefit concert on the family’s behalf. On May 18, 2012, at The Peace Center Concert Hall, Emile will take the stage to celebrate his hometown community.  He has invited some extraordinarily talented family members and friends to join him; all professional artists in their own right.  The concert is entitled, 'Emile Pandolfi and Friends: A House is Not a Home'.

“Emile is a well-known and beloved pianist in the Greenville area. He and his family experienced the tragedy of losing their home and all of its contents in a fire last Christmas. This benefit is a way for the arts community to pay back one of its greatest contributors,” announced The Peace Center on its website.

Tickets are affordably priced from $5 to $35 and can be purchased online via
