10-Strike Connection Monitor
On an attempt to access a shared folder, the monitor captures the user´s host name, records it into the log file and alerts the resource owner. Whatever the user does while connected to the protected computer - browses folders, downloads or uploads anything to them - it is registered in the log file and can be reported to the resource owner. The monitor can be configured to alert the administrator when certain users attempt to access some important shared folders, or launch a security application when an intruder attempts to access a restricted file.
The new version 3.0 of the program can also alert when a user attempts to download too much data at a time. Imagine a server having a share with important project files your team working with. The normal working process is when the team members work with some part of the files, only with necessary ones. You would not like some user to copy or scan the entire project folder. The program has the "Opened files count" alert for such case. When someone decides to copy the entire folder´s content, the program will notify you about that and you will be able to warn that ´curious´ employee. The alert can also be configured to limit the total file size of the opened files by a user.
