Momondo Named Official Travel Partner Of Northern Europe’s Largest Music Event

April 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Summer is fast approaching and with it comes the next festival season. Lineups are complete, camping equipment is packed and anticipation is rising. A popular classic among the international music festivals is the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, which takes place from 5 to 8 July this year. Just in time for the beginning of an eventful music summer, Momondo – travel search market leader and official travel partner of northern Europe’s largest music event – launches an online competition and draws the winner of two tickets to this year’s Roskilde Festival.

During the four official festival days, a total of 200 bands will play on the eight stages, entertaining an audience of more than 75,000 people. The diversified lineup contains a lot of progressive music, indie sounds and many surprises for music lovers. Many internationally known acts will move the masses at this year’s Roskilde Festival: The Boss - Bruce Springsteen, Icelandic singer Björk, Bon Iver, The Roots and legendary The Cure are just a few names from a long list of great acts. The Roskilde Festival, which takes place for the 42nd time, will also host a brand new stage this year. The new Apollo stage stands for finest electronic beats that will make the crowd dance.

Besides impressive live acts, internationally known bands and newcomers, there will be wealth of activities going on that will not only satisfy the festival participants’ ears and eyes: 130 food stands will please the music lovers’ palates with delicious food from all over the world as well as vegetarian dishes.

The campsite opens on 30 June, giving campers the opportunity to get in the festival mood and warm-up for the four official festival days. Five days of warm-up plus four days of music makes nine days of authentic Roskilde experience. More than 30,000 volunteers help to make this event an unforgettable experience for the audience and create the perfect festival atmosphere. All profits are donated to charity.
