Forest Hills Shopping Center is located in Garner at the corner of Vandora Springs Road and Fifth Avenue. The 98,629 square foot shopping center was built in 1978 and is anchored by Food Lion and Rite Aid and is also home to El Dorado, Division of Motor Vehicles, and Glam-O-Rama. Lynne Worth, Vice President Retail Leasing for York Properties, worked closely with Capital Sign Solutions president, Patrick Mills, and says that the project was challenging due to the age of the shopping center and Garner’s current sign ordinances.
“We had some issues with the Town [of Garner] regarding existing sign sizes,” says Worth. “Patrick and his team stuck with the issue until it was resolved to make sure that each merchant was happy with the size and location of their new signs. Capital Sign Solutions insists on pleasing their clients and our merchants. This makes the job worry free for the customer.”
Sarah Mills is the Senior Project Manager for Capital Sign Solutions. She says that when dealing with older complexes, like Forest Hills Shopping Center, she often has to work closely with towns in order to conform to existing ordinances.
