Unique Training for Professionals: Workplace Bullying University scheduled for May and June

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 17, 2012 - Workplace bullying is a hot topic. The Workplace Bullying Institute (WBI) periodically offers an intensive small-group interactive training just for professionals seeking mastery of several aspects of the adult bullying phenomenon to apply in their work -- mental health counselors, human resources staff, attorneys, and consultants. It is a 3-day training held in Bellingham, WA is called Workplace Bullying University. The next two Universities are May 4-6  (designed for Union leaders only) and June 15-17 for general professional audiences.

Faculty include WBI founders, Dr. Ruth and Dr. Gary Namie, authors of The Bully-Free Workplace (Wiley, 2011) and The Bully At Work (Sourcebooks, 2009), and Work Doctor consultant Sean Lunsford.  

WBI's University has been compared to graduate-level seminars. The research-driven curriculum begins with prevalence statistics and definitions from around the world, delves into psychological profiles of both targets and perpetrators, details health impact on individuals relying on over 200 relevant research articles. The Namies’ solutions for individuals, workteams, unions, employers and public health law reform end the session.

Participants receive an extensive set of supplementary resources totaling more than 45 hours of audio and video CDs and DVDs  and the research collection.
