Follow on Google News | Kaitlin Group Releases New Phase of Bungalow Homes in Canada’s ‘Best Place to Retire’ for 2012Loyalist Country Club Community near Kingston, Ont., appeals to a growing number of zoomers for its central location, amenities and focus on main floor living with a view
By: Mark Wessel In its 2012 ranking of Best Places to Retire in Canada, Money Sense gave top spot to the city of Kingston, basing its decision on categories such as affordable housing, the ability to walk/bike to work, available health resources, crime rates and taxes. “Our location is an attractive feature,” says Custance, noting that the community is equal distance between Toronto and Montreal with Syracuse, N.Y., an hour-and-a-half to the south. “People also want to invest in a community with a future,” he says. Loyalist Country Club Community is Kaitlin Group’s signature golf course development in the picturesque town of Bath just 15 minutes outside of Kingston. Every home is either a detached bungalow, bungalow with loft or bungalow townhome, ideally suited to empty nesters or zoomers approaching retirement and interested in main floor living. The community is built around the Loyalist Country Club, a par 72, 18-hole championship course that is consistently rated one of the top places to golf in the Kingston area. Each Loyalist home comes with membership to the Country Club community, providing access to the clubhouse (open year round) and including fitness facilities, billiard room, library, member’s lounge, outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and tennis courts. Homeowners also receive a discount on golf. The newest release of Loyalist homes announced by Kaitlin Group are detached bungalows backing onto the 12th hole facing west and the 17th hole facing east. Featuring new designs that boast large rear-facing windows, front and rear covered porch areas, and views of scenic fairways, the homes range from 1,415 to 2,922 square feet in size and are priced from $364,990 to $489,990. Also released is the next phase of freehold bungalow townhomes, ranging in size from 1,324 to 1,700 square feet and priced from $234,990 to $279,990, and located across the street from the number one fairway. Exterior features of all Loyalist homes include maintenance- “At Loyalist you live where you play and play where you live, and that doesn’t only pertain to golf,” notes Custance. “This area is like a mini Ottawa. We have culture, sports, dining, recreation; whatever interests you, you’ll find it here.” SALES OFFICE DETAILS The Loyalist Country Club Community Sales Office is located at One Loyalist Boulevard in Bath, off of County Road 7 and Highway 33.
