MACROBUS SA de CV implements GoalBus® &GoalDriver® for the planning & scheduling of their 15 lines

April 17, 2012 - PRLog -- JANUARY 2010 – Guadalajara, MEXICO. Within a record deployment time for our products, on Tuesday, November the 10th 2009, Mexican President Mr. Felipe Calderón Hinojosa inaugurated Phase I of MACROBUS. This is the BRT system operating in Guadalajara city, Mexico.

The system was conceived in order to decrease trip times within the city, and to prevent traffic incidents, which are some of the biggest worries for Guadalajara inhabitants. Besides, the system helps to fight global warming, by reducing polluting emissions by about 10 daily tones CO2.

With a trunk line and 15 feeder lines, MACROBUS SA de CV, the only trunk operating company in MACROBUS, is transporting up to 130.000 users every day. Our product GoalBus® programs and optimizes, since the very first day of operation, timetables and resources scheduling for 144 buses. Out from these 144, 41 are articulated buses. 303 drivers get their daily schedule from GoalDriver®.

As in any other BRT system, operating companies set themselves on the challenge of saving costs and getting back the highest revenues. MACROBUS used our products from the first day of operation, and is succeeding to get the highest revenue day after day, covering the demand in an efficient way, using the available resources, and reducing costs. And it is being able to analyze and evaluate costs and revenues that any operating decision implies.

It is remarkable how GoalDriver® deployment helped making human resources happier and calming labor unions down. Human resources policies were easily traduced to optimized short and long term planning by GoalDriver®.
