By: The Healing Heroes Network Healing Heroes Network (HHN) is proud to announce the annual "Golfing For Heroes" charity golf tournament to benefit the wounded warriors of HHN. This year the tournament, sponsored by the 13 Ugly Men Foundation, will be held at Countryside Country Club's beautiful Bay and Lake courses on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Along with amazing prizes for the first, second, and third winning foursomes; participants will get to enjoy prizes for contests like 'Closest to the Pin', 'Longest Drive,' and a ‘Hole-In-1 Kia Optima’ provided by Friendly Kia! All the proceeds from the tournament will go to the 501c3 non-profit Healing Heroes Network to serve in their mission of providing financial assistance to veterans injured in Iraq or Afghanistan since September 11, 2001. "We are so excited for the tournament this year,” said Stacey Spiegel, Executive Director of Healing Heroes Network. “Some of the local veterans we have assisted will be at the event. We think it’s very important for people to see what their generous donations provide and the difference it makes for our injured military members and their families.” Golfers of all ages and abilities are able to sign up for the tournament and get more information online at http://www.golfingforheroes.com. Check-in for the tournament begins at 10:30am on April 22nd, with a shotgun start at 12:00pm. Admiral Farragut NROTC will be presenting the colors and PGA Professional Todd Keirstead will be on hand for a special performance with 8 year-old "HHN Community Hero” Patrick F. of Eastlake Woodlands. Catered dinner at Countryside Country Club, sponsored by Hero's Hope, will be served immediately following the tournament and is included in the entry fee. Non-golfers are eligible to enter the raffles, and additional dinner tickets may be purchased for $35 a person.
