A Cosmetic Dental Focus As New Dentist Joins Dr David Davies At Lasting Impressions Dental

The arrival of Dentist Dr Eddy Truong to Canberra City’s Lasting Impressions Dental allows the practice to meet the demand of providing popular cosmetic dental services to current and future clients.

PRLog - Apr. 16, 2012 - Lasting Impressions Dental- Dr David Davies, owner of Lasting Impressions Dental, has announced that Dr Eddy Truong has joined his practice.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Eddy Truong to Lasting Impressions Dental,” said Dr. Davies. “Dr. Eddy was born and raised in Canberra, and studied dentistry at the University of Queensland. It’s great to have a local in the practice! We are particularly excited that his area of interest is cosmetic dentistry, as this is very much in demand at Lasting Impressions Dental.”

Cosmetic Dental Services Require In-Depth Consultation

Cosmetic Dentistry includes a broad range of Dental Services, such as teeth whitening, dental bonding, dental crown and bridgework, dental implants, replacement of amalgam fillings with teeth-coloured alternatives, and even orthodontic tooth movement. Both Dr Davies and Dr Truong enjoy the challenges and rewards of providing Cosmetic Dental services to their clients.

"We begin the process with an in-depth conversation with the individual, so that we can determine what their cosmetic dental concerns are," said Dr Davies. "We then perform a detailed examination of their mouth, teeth and jaws. Some cosmetic treatment plans are very straightforward: others are extremely complex, sometimes requiring the input of orthodontic or periodontal specialists. We always keep the desires and comfort of the individual as our topmost concern."

Cosmetic Dentistry Is Never One-Size-Fits-All

Both Dr Davies and Dr Truong were keen to point out that Cosmetic Dental procedures need to be customised to the individual.

"Every mouth is different," explained Dr Truong, "and every patient has different needs and wants when it comes to dental aesthetics. For example, some people's teeth can't be whitened using standard teeth whitening methods. Sometimes we can only achieve "teeth whitening" by placing crowns or veneers on teeth to mask the discolouration underneath."

"This is why a professional assessment is necessary at the beginning," agreed Dr Davies. "It is our responsibility as Dentists to make sure that the cosmetic dental treatment that we are recommending will achieve the desired outcome. It's disappointing and wasteful for a person to undergo an ineffective cosmetic dental treatment. We prefer to provide cosmetic dental solutions that are effective the first time."
