PRLog - Apr. 16, 2012 - BALTIMORE -- Baltimore, MD – April 16, 2012 Storage Village has established a partnership with Moveable Feast to ensure that our homebound neighbors with life threatening illness get the nutrition they need. Moveable feast is now the beneficiary of Storage Village’s year-long community service campaigns.
Moveable feast is a non profit organization that provides nutritious foods and other services in order to preserve quality of life for people with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening conditions. Based in Baltimore City, the meals they provide save suffering individuals and their families in Baltimore City and the surrounding areas.
Storage Village is assisting Moveable Feast with their efforts through donations of food, money, and time. These three initiatives combined will have a powerful impact on the extent to which Moveable Feast can assist those suffering from life-threatening illnesses in our community.
With each new move in, a tenant can get their first month for $1 if they bring in at least 3 cans of food to Storage Village’s onsite canned food collection Center. All food collected from Storage Village in Baltimore will be donated to Moveable Feast. Last year, the Storage Village community donated over 2,000 pounds through this program. The inaugural donation to Moveable Feast contributed 125 pounds of food, which will provide 104 meals.
Additionally, Storage Village assists Moveable Feast by purchasing and selling water bottles to collect monetary donations. Each water bottle costs $1, and all money collected from the sale of water bottles is donated.
Furthermore, Storage Village pays all full time employees to donate at least 8 hours each month to volunteer work. Though the employee can volunteer at the organization of his or her choosing, Moveable Feast is the recommended organization for employees based in Baltimore. All volunteer opportunities at Moveable Feast will be listed in Storage Village’s new Volunteer Resource Book.
“We are thrilled to be able to help Moveable Feast serve people in need in the Baltimore community who because of overwhelming health-related difficulties don’t have the mobility to take care of some of their most basic needs.”
-M. Goldberg, C.O.O, Storage Village Self Storage

As a company, Storage Village expresses their gratitude for the community that they are a part of by giving back throughout the year. Storage Village is proud to be an active member of their community. They invite anyone in need of extra space, or that would like to contribute to Moveable Feast to stop by their facility in the Clifton Park neighborhood of Baltimore City.
