NiQue is breaking barriers boldly with her unique edgy bled of Urban~Rock matched with a distinctive “siren” of Soul. Her debut album “The Q is Capitol” carries a sub-title to agitate NiQue’s determination to defy industry “standards”; NO RULEZ. NiQue is determined to be the Defiantflower, growing in any season, as she so gracefully displays through lyrics on  conscious deep tracks like  “NO” Feat. Diesel, “He’s Just” Feat. 7th Prophet, and “When I’m Home”  Feat. Tokes East Wood and Alourious, from her debut album “The Q is Capitol”


NiQue is gaining her long overdue recognition both nationally and internationally, her stage presence and silky~modulated voice has grabbed the attention of audiences for Charlie Wilson and Babyface, where NiQue guest performed, the World Famous Apollo in New York City, Las Vegas and across the seas of Spain. NiQue’s music has reached radio air waves from the U.S. to Australia and it dose not stop there.

NiQue’s (Keisha NiQue Lipscombe Matos-Joaquin), passion for music started at the age of three, in her Grandfather’s (Dr. Bishop Leon G. Lipscombe) South East Washington, DC Church;  Allen AME, from there everyone knew that her voice was truly a gift, he ability to write,  vocally arrange intricate harmonies and deliver flawlessly, has been compared to Multi-Platinum  recording groups/artist such as En Vouge and Faith Evans. NiQue’s musical influences range from Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Hactor Lavoe, Chuck Brown, Chaka Khan, Teena Marie, Aventura,  Sam Cooke, and Rachelle Ferrell. In 2009 NiQue expressed her passion to be apart of MAJOR change in the community, she established the Gregory-Leon Hand to Man Foundation Inc., the only known foundation that focuses on providing transitional housing and resources for Homeless Men and their families. This passion was even more powered after the blockbuster hit starring Will and Jaden Smith “The Pursuit of Happiness” .  In 2012 NiQue teamed up with Industry Energy Leaders in Energy Deregulation; Starion Energy, to raise funds for this cause. “ How do we as a government complain that  we do not have enough fathers in the home, but  when families with fathers in  the home  are stricken by the lows of the economy, we split them up” ~ NiQuie.
