Event Planners Association™ Launches DC Metro Chapter On April 23rd

April 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Washington, DC -- Event Planners Association™ (EPA), (http://www.EventPlannersAssociation.com), today announced it is expanding its national reach by launching the EPA DC Metro Chapter.  The EPA DC Metro Chapter will offer membership opportunities and benefits to special event, corporate, meeting and wedding professionals, as well as professionals from the inflatable games and amusement rental industry and suppliers and vendors to these industries.

The EPA DC Metro Chapter’s inaugural launch event, “Spring in DC,” will be held at the breathtaking reception and conference facility,  Top of the Town (http://www.topofthetown.net), on Monday, April 23rd  from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Through 10-foot wide windows, this 3,000 square foot facility offers the best panoramic views of the Nation’s Monuments.  It is fully equipped with a reception room, as well as a large outdoor terrace—it’s a great place to meet in Washington, DC—and it’s where the EPA DC Metro Chapter is debuting.

The EPA DC Metro Chapter’s “Spring in DC” launch event activities include:
•   Top-line overview of the Event Planners Association by Kim Sullivan, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of the EPA National Headquarters along with the introduction of the EPA’s DC Metro Chapter’s president, Tammy Shapiro, owner of Talk of the Town Gourmet Gifts and More… (http://www.TalkoftheTownGifts.com)
•   Guest speaker and rock-star party planner to A-list celebrities, aka “The Party Goddess”, Marley Majcher (http://www.MarleyMajcher.com), speaking about real-life, “don’t make the same mistakes I’ve made” tips from her book, “But Are You Making Any Money?.” Her business pointers will set the audience on fire by cutting out no-nonsense busy work to focus on and achieve business profitability. Marley Majcher will conduct a Q&A immediately following
•   Exquisite tastings and samplings from select restaurateurs, gourmet food caterers, chocolatiers, candy and providers of sweet delights
