The organization sets itself above and beyond the self-help programs available to children. Bully Buzz provides pro-active hands on bully intervention, prevention, and empowerment for young children, teens, and young adults. They realize not every child or adult is equipped to fight back, and self-help options may not be the best alternative to ensure the lives of children and young adults are protected.
Bully Buzz's goal is to prevent and maintain a zero tolerance of bulling in schools, work places, and communities. Their focus is on intervening, reducing, preventing, and eliminating bullying, cyber bullying, sexting, and other digital abuse, educating against homophobia, racism and hatred, decreasing school absenteeism, and deterring violence in schools, online and in our communities. Bully Buzz teaches effective solutions on how to respond to all forms of bullying; as well as educating young children, teens, and young adults in school and online, providing help for those in need and at risk of suicide, raising awareness, peer mentoring programs in schools and for the public.
The petition titled "Implement Bully Buzz Intervention and Empowerment into California School Districts" gives information on how the organization provides proactive bully intervention.
What Happens When Bullying Is Reported To Bully Buzz?
All information for reports taken by Bully Buzz is collected upon submission. A ticket number is generated and emailed to the victim or reporter of the abuse. Every support ticket is documented with every procedure and step taken to intervene and prevent. This means every email, phone call, office visit, meeting, and report regarding the request for bully intervention is logged for record. We believe this will give the reassurance that their voice has been heard, and there is someone who cares enough to take a stance and help protect.
Bully Buzz intervenes at every level possible including helping the victims of bullies talk to their parent or guardian about their situation, going to schools to speaking with administration, contacting the school of the bully and their parents and in some extreme situations going to the proper authorities, when an agreeable resolution cannot be reached.
The petition "Implement Bully Buzz Intervention and Empowerment into California School Districts" found on change.org states that if Bully Buzz is allowed to operate on school grounds students will be safe as well as feel safe in the environment that is meant for them to grow, obtain a more focused proper education, and develop appropriate social skills.
