Follow on Google News | Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Review Set at University of Illinois at Chicago College of DentistryThe University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry’s Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) will hold its second annual OMFS Review on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 25 and 26, 2012.
By: UIC College of Dentistry The two-day comprehensive refresher course covers the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and will provide up to 20 hours of Continuing Education credits sponsored by UIC. The University of Illinois is a recognized American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) provider. The course is for general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons and residents, otolarygologists, and plastic and reconstructive surgeons. Course registration fee is $1,500. Resident fee is $750. Topics include anesthesia, medicine, dentoalveolar surgery, implant surgery, trauma, pathology, orthognatic surgery, TMJ surgery, cosmetic surgery, obstructive sleep apnea, cleft and craniofacial surgery, and reconstruction. Course directors are Dr. Antonia Kolokythas, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Michael Miloro, Department Head. Faculty are Drs. Jeffrey W. Chandler, Darren P. Cox, William G. Flick, Deepak Krishnan, Joshua Lubek, Stephen MacLeod, Eric W. Evans, and Rajesh Gutta. Continental breakfast and lunch included both days. Paulina St. in Chicago. More than 320 students are in the DMD Program and International Dentist Degree Program. Specialty programs are offered in Orthodontics, Endodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with 80 postgraduate students enrolled across these programs.
