Occasionally Cake Opens Second Location In Old Town Alexandria

April 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Occasionally Cake of Alexandria, Va. announces the opening of their second cake boutique in Old Town Alexandria at 207 King Street. With eight employees and 3,200 square feet, the new location will feature their notable gourmet cupcakes, designer cakes and cake truffles; but will also host parties, special events, and baking and cake designing classes for kids and adults, as well as an intimate bakery area that offers seating, serving cakes by the slice, whoopie pies, cupcake push-pops, oatmeal cream pies, and beverages like, Coca-Cola products, milk, coffee, tea and hot cocoa. Both Alexandria cake boutiques offer more than 100 cake and gourmet cup cake flavors. Occasionally Cake is also renowned for their cake truffles. Instead of discarding leftover cake, it became the centerpiece of their cake truffles, and then dipped in Belgian chocolate.

Pricing for cakes vary, but generally, wedding cakes are priced per serving and begin at $6.50 a serving. Occasionally Cake on King Street is open Tuesday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Richmond Highway location is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
