Solutionix previews new-generation 3D scanners at Control 2012

Previewing at Control 2012 is the new-generation “Crossover Scanner”, Rexcan-CS and Rexcan-CS+, which represent the very latest in the field of high-accuracy, affordable, structured-light scanning. Being compact and portable and featuring multiple scanning volumes and fully automated scanning, the Rexcan-CS will offer unprecedented value for European customers and is expected to revolutionise the industry.
 
Scanning demonstrations will feature the high-resolution Rexcan 4 scanning systems, including the new LED projection systems. Rexcan 4 provides a maximum of 24 scanning volumes, depending on the size of the object, and is capable of ultra-high accuracy, low noise and the ability to capture an area up to 1.6m diagonally in a single shot.

Solutionix will also demonstrate the Rexcan-DS2 and Medit Identica high performance desktop cabinet scanners, which have been developed specifically for small-object applications. Featuring an automatic tilt/turn table and a narrow angle of triangulation, the DS2 and Identica scanners can create a single data set from its twin cameras in as little time as one minute for a single, small object such as a tooth or wedding ring and three-four minutes for a larger object, such as a jaw or turbine impellor.
