JMA Pilani Rajasthan Implements Admissions Under RTE Act for 2012 Session Also

As per the Landmark Judgment on the constitutional validity of Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 better known as Right to Education Act or in short RTE Act delivered by the Supreme Court of India on Thursday April 12, 2012, it has beyond doubt emerged that four categories of schools namely state schools, private schools getting government aid, unaided private schools and minority schools getting state aid must implement RTE and that it is mandatory for all such schools to admit 25 percent students from the weaker sections of the society. JMA Pilani takes pride in stating that the school had implemented the same for the academic session 2011 - 2012 by admitting 10 students and for the academic session 2012 – 2013 by admitting 12 students. Mrs Booma Natarajan, the founding principal of JMA,  also conveyed that out of the 10 students who were eligible in the previous year, the parent of one student who was otherwise eligible under the caste criteria politely thanked the offer stating that he was by god’s grace economically well to do and can afford to pay for his child’s education.
