Connections to Success Welcomes New President, New Secretary and Two New Board Members

The nonprofit, Connections to Success, announces the election of their new President of the board of directors, Kathy McElligott, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Emerson, as well as a new Secretary and two new board members.
 
April 12, 2012 - PRLog -- The nonprofit, Connections to Success announces the election of their new President of the board of directors, their new Secretary, as well as two new board members. They join an esteemed group of innovators that include Lauren Herring, President and CEO of the global career management firm, Impact Group, Heidi Sowatsky, award winning franchise owner of Decorating Den and previously general partner, area leader and financial analyst at Edward Jones, as well as a host of other accomplished leaders.  The organization is excited to enhance its capabilities by creating a more diversified board with community leaders from different business areas.

The board members are:

Kathy McElligott, Board President – Kathy McElligott is Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Emerson.  She is responsible for Emerson’s information technology strategy and its telecommunications and data center infrastructure. Kathy was most recently recognized as one of the “Most Influential Business Women” by the St. Louis Business Journal.

Patricia Doherty, Secretary – Patricia Doherty is currently a Supervising U.S. Probation Officer for the U.S. Probation Office, Eastern District of Missouri.  Her duties include oversight of the district’s employment and education programs.  She also periodically assists the National Institute of Corrections with training.

Holly George Thomas, board member – Holly is currently Market Human Resource Manager for Walmart Stores in St. Louis, MO. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and an Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri.  Holly is extremely passionate about helping women to develop themselves and their future.

Paul Hott, board member – Paul Hott brings over 19 years of diverse Human Resources leadership and coaching experience.  His career has been dedicated to helping individuals, teams, and organizations accelerate their development and improve performance. Paul’s prior experience includes being the Global VP of Human Resources and Corporate Compliance Officer for Savvis, A CenturyLink Company; the SVP, Leadership and Coaching Skill Development and VP, Learning and Organization Effectiveness at Bank of America; and progressive HR leadership roles at GE Capital Fleet Services, The Solae Company, The Pillsbury Company, and Cargill.
