April 12, 2012 - PRLog -- (SEATTLE) -  Event organizers from the Greater Northwest Chapter of the National MS Society have received a helping hand from PODS® of Seattle as the organization prepares for upcoming fundraising walks happening April 14 – 15.

The local moving and storage company heard about the Walk MS fundraisers and stepped up with a donation of event-day logistics and PODS® containers that will be placed at the start and finish lines of each walk. PODS will transport participant support materials, such as t-shirts, water and food, from the Chapter’s warehouse to the various greater Seattle-area event locations.

On April 14, PODS® containers will be placed along the event route at the Walk MS in Snohomish County and Walk MS in South Sound and, on April 15, PODS® containers will aid walkers at the Walk MS in Seattle.

“We are grateful to PODS for their generous support of our walks,” said Molly Johnston, Walk MS Manager. “Their donation is saving us thousands in storage and transportation costs that can be used for MS research and support services instead.”

Walk MS is the National MS Society’s largest fundraiser and brings together people across communities throughout the state and country. The National MS Society’s Greater Northwest Chapter serves over 12,000 people living with MS, including their friends, caregivers and health care professionals throughout Alaska, Montana and Central and Western Washington.
