Green Choice Solar Completes Solar Projects for Copper State Bolt & Nut Company

April 12, 2012 - PRLog -- SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Green Choice Solar, a southwest market leader for full-service, non-residential solar integration, completed three sites for Copper State Bolt & Nut Company in Phoenix in December of 2011.

Committed to product excellence and customer satisfaction, Copper State Bolt & Nut Company selected Green Choice Solar due to Green Choice’s full-service solar integration process. An extremely important piece of the process entailed securing Production Based Incentives (PBI) for Copper State. These PBIs allowed Copper State to receive rebates to help with the cost of the project and will ultimately reduce Copper State’s long term energy costs.

Green Choice Solar installed ballasted roof top systems that will produce approximately 244.72 KWp (kilowatt photovoltaic) peak of installed capacity across the three Copper State sites. The sites converted from traditional energy to solar substituted usage by 50 percent or more at each of the sites. Over a 20-year lifetime, the three Copper State sites will reduce emissions by at least 6,100 metric tons.

Two of the Copper State sites were installed partially through incentives provided by APS. These incentives can be taken advantage of by current APS customers and provide rebates for solar installation as well as credits for excess energy that the system may produce.
