As part of a naturally designed company progression, Seman is taking over the reins from John F. Buckles, who helped grow Caring Transitions to more than 140 franchises throughout the country since first being established in 2006. Caring Transitions helps seniors and others manage life-changing moves resulting from the need to downsize homes, relocate for a job or following a divorce.
The appointment of Chris Seman to President is a natural progression for the Caring Transitions brand, which is part of a family of affiliated brands that are designed to incubate franchise concepts, bring them to market, and then pass the torch on to leaders who can take the brands to progressively higher levels. As Seman takes over to continue growing Caring Transitions, Buckles, with 14 years in franchising, will move on to lead TruBlue – the newest in the family of affiliated franchise concepts. TruBlue helps adults, seniors and those with limitations by being the one company they can rely on to take care of their year-round household maintenance, repairs and upkeep.
“Chris will work with the procedures already set in place that have built the brand to success and make them even more efficient, effective and profitable, allowing franchisees to pursue greater market coverage,” Buckles said. “In addition to working with seniors and their families, Caring Transitions franchisees will begin to tap more heavily into additional markets, such as services for executive relocations, divorcees and empty nesters looking to downsize.”
Seman, who developed and implemented systems to strengthen and grow home maintenance and repair franchise Mr. Handyman in the United States, Canada and the UK for over a decade, will focus on refining operational systems to enhance efficiency for Caring Transitions franchisees.
“I was attracted to Caring Transitions not only because it’s a great model filling a very specific niche in the marketplace, but also because the services their franchisees provide has a real, positive impact on people’s lives,” Seman.said. “It’s great to know when you come to work every day that the franchisees in your system are doing something valuable in society, and making a living at it. It’s extremely rewarding.”
