Juan Carlos Del Rio currently serves on the board of Basic Resources AG, a European firm specialized in investment banking and M&A in the natural resource sector. He formerly served as CEO in the USA for the ASTROC Group, a Spanish-based real estate conglomerate. While at UBS AG he became responsible for Spain and Portugal and directed both countries’ wealth management business in the USA. Overlapping his terms at UBS and ASTROC he concurrently served as a Board Member of The US-Spain Chamber of Commerce. Prior to UBS he was responsible for developing an international new book of business for Merrill Lynch. He was also a pit supervisor on the floor of NYMEX for gold, silver & copper while working for Millenium Futures. He has a BBA in Finance from Pace University (NY), a BS in Aerospace Engineering and MS in Financial Engineering from Polytechnic University (NY) and a Diploma of the RCC-Harvard Business School Executive Program (MA).
