Apr. 12, 2012 - Curtlin Toys and Games is proud to announce that is has been awarded a patent for the 'XTREME TAKEOVER' board game number 8128090. The Patent is based on the method of play along with the unique 'tray' and 'patterned' design of the game board. XTREME TAKEOVER is an abstract strategy based battle game that pits two players against each other using armies of Xiacon Warriors. The object of the game is to move your General, Officers and Guards across the battle playing field to ultimately infiltrate your opponent's home base or bunker while also trying to defend your own. Players use 18 mm 'casino' looking dice to battle each other and are rolled at the same time. Each playing peice has a battle factor that is added to the roll depending on the power of the Xiacon Warrior which makes for many interesting battles. The Patent comes on the heals of another Curtlin game 'KATATU' that was launched in fall of 2011 and has already won two games awards and is now being distributed to game stores nationally.
