Conference Short Course on Knowledge-Based Systems in Bioinformatics

April 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Needham, MA – Cambridge Healthtech Institute announces the Knowledge-Based Systems in Bioinformatics Short Course. This Short Course will be taking place Thursday, June 7, 2012 as part of the first annual Bio-IT World Asia Conference (June 6-8) at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.  For more information, visit:  http://www.Bio-ITWorldAsia.com

About the Knowledge-Based Systems in Bioinformatics Short Course:

Knowledge-based systems (KBS) are increasingly used for the analysis of biological systems and complex biomedical applications. Biomedical KBS integrate quantities of complex biomedical data, existing knowledge, and automated analysis methods. Applications of biomedical KBS include scientific discovery, formulation of hypotheses, design of experiments, drug discovery and design, and various clinical applications. This course addresses theoretical and practical aspects of KBS and will be supported by selected examples from bioinformatics applications in cancer and immunology.

Instructor:
Vladimir Brusic, Ph.D., Director, Bioinformatics, Cancer Vaccine Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

The Bio-IT World Asia 2012 Conference will bring together, life sciences, pharmaceutical, informatics and IT professionals from all over Asia and the rest of the world to one unique location. The Event provides the perfect venue to share information and discuss enabling technologies that are driving biomedical research and the drug development process.
