The mere word CANCER strikes fear on
just about everyone. Now imagine that
this is your child and you hear those
deviating words. My daughter Bella was
diagnosed with Leukemia (blood cancer)
at the young age of 2. She spent 2 ½
years taking several pills nightly,
painfully injected chemo weekly, and had
multiple spinal taps. My wife and I know
firsthand the pain, suffering and horrible
side-effects that the treatment does to a
person. My daughter and her twin sister
Yasmeen were very strong at such a
young age to deal with it all. Bella loved
being bald and was beautiful bald, but
beyond that beauty was the pain of a
disease that changed her life. My
daughter is now 5 months into remission
and doing well, we have clinical trials to
thank for this.
