First Annual Yoga 4 Peace Unity Gala

April 11, 2012 - PRLog -- What can bring an entire community together?  In a word, Unity. Join Yoga 4 Peace on Saturday, June 2 for the first annual Yoga 4 Peace Unity Gala. The Wyandotte Arts Center, located at 81 Chestnut in Wyandotte, MI will serve as the backdrop for this night of magical wonderment.  The proceeds from this event will go towards a new building to further support the donation-based mission of the studio. The festivities kick-off at 7:00 p.m.

Local 4 News Reporter and Sports Final Edition host, Katrina Hancock (www.clickondetroit.com)  will be the Mistress of Ceremonies. The highlight of the evening will be a silent auction featuring various items, artistic displays and performances by the Detroit Circus via Detroit Fly House (www.detroitcircus.info), One Spirit Belly Dancers (www.onespiritdanceandfitness.com)  and DJ’d by Imagine Do.

“It is our hope to Unite the entire Detroit Metro Yoga community under one roof, bringing everyone together to support the idea that yoga is for everyone.  Join us for an evening of fun, food and fabulous people,” says Executive Director, Angela Barboza-Ryan.


Tickets for the Yoga 4 Peace Unity Gala are $35 in advance and $40 at the door and go on sale May 5. About Wyandotte Arts Center
The Wyandotte Arts Center, located in the heart of downtown Wyandotte, houses the Downriver Council of the Arts. The organization was founded in 1978, but has been at this location since 2008. The venue has a wide range of art classes for adults and children, lectures, workshops, various music events, spoken word performances and theater performances. The center aims to be an incubator for local creative people. The recently renovated building dates back to the 19th century and is on the historic registry.
