April 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Internationally-known iPhoneographer, Andy Royston, is fitting  a home town exhibition in between the current exhibition in the Netherlands and a forthcoming show in San Francisco.

Beginning on April 12th, 2012, the exhibition, entitled First Wave, will be on show at the Art4Vision Gallery at 1015 East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Part of the proceeds from the exhibition will go to the vision charities supported by the gallery.

Andy has lived in the Las Olas area for twelve years and has titled the exhibition appropriately; many of the photographs shown feature the ocean waves. All were taken on Fort Lauderdale Beach. As ‘olas’ is Spanish for ‘wave’ and this is Andy’s first Las Olas exhibition, First Wave seemed a natural choice, especially as the photographs were taken at first light. Andy walks and photographs Fort Lauderdale Beach every morning at dawn.

His work has been promoting the beauty of Fort Lauderdale’s beach and its flora and fauna every morning for three years;  he has been sharing his photographs in real time via social media to fans and followers all over the world.

The exhibition will run for one week. It is part of the gallery’s six week series of local artists advancing the art & culture scene in Fort Lauderdale.
