The 3.7-liter V-6 engine generates 332 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque at 5,200 rpm. It gets 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. The Roadster is offered with a choice of two transmissions options, a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic. The six-speed manual is available with SynchroRev Match. The seven-speed automatic includes Downshift Rev Matching (DRM) and Adaptive Shift Control (ASC).

The 2012 Roadster Roadster’s exterior, features an aluminum hood, door panels and trunk for lighter weight. It includes additional structural reinforcement and protection, which include A-pillars and side sills.
